About me

I'm Mare Vahtre.

A marketing strategist with a background in IT and technology. I help companies understand the conversations shaping their reputation, and find a meaningful role in them.

I'm a marketing strategist with roots in the IT and technology sector. Over the years I've worked across growth, brand, and communications in categories where buyers are informed, skeptical, and hard to reach through traditional channels.

That experience taught me something. The most effective marketing doesn't interrupt people. It joins conversations they are already having.

Reddit is where those conversations live at scale. It's built around communities, not algorithms or follower counts. People go there for honest answers. The culture is skeptical of commercial interests by default, which is exactly what makes it valuable. When trust is hard to earn, it means something when you do.

I believe marketing needs to be more real. More grounded in what customers actually think rather than what brands wish they would think. Reddit gives you access to both. Unfiltered conversations you can learn from. Communities where a brand can earn a credible role, if it earns the right to be there.

My work combines community strategy, organic presence, paid advertising, SEO, and AI-search impact. The goal is always the same: a practical plan that fits your actual situation, not a generic playbook.

I work with marketers, founders, and agencies who want to do this properly. Not to fake community participation. To listen first, understand the landscape, and build something that compounds over time.

What I help with.

1

Corporate visibility

Understanding how Reddit affects brand discoverability and reputation. What surfaces when someone searches your company name alongside "reddit" shapes buying decisions. Knowing that, and influencing it, matters.

2

Community strategy

Finding where your audience already talks and understanding the logic of each community. Identifying how a brand can participate credibly, without triggering backlash or violating norms.

3

Reddit + SEO + AI

Reddit discussions influence search rankings and shape what AI systems like ChatGPT and Perplexity say about your category. Most brands don't realise how much of this is already happening. Or how much they're missing.

My approach

I don't start with tactics. The first question is always: does Reddit actually make sense for this company, right now? Sometimes it doesn't. Knowing that early saves time, budget, and reputational risk.

When the answer is yes, I map the landscape, identify real opportunities and risks, and help you move with a clear plan instead of guesswork.

Who I work with

Marketing managers and CMOs who want to understand Reddit before their team touches it. Founders building a go-to-market in online communities. Agencies that need a Reddit specialist for a client engagement. SEO and content leads exploring the AI-visibility angle.
